Fishing Lodge in Santo Tomas
For those who want an unforgettable fishing experience.
Fario Fishing is located in the small town of Santo Tomas, which is conveniently located 2 hours from the capital city of Neuquen and the international airport. We offer comfortable accommodations and are just a few miles from some of the best fishing in northern Patagonia. The Limay River basin is home to this incredible fishing area.
This area is world renowned for the quality of its fish. We have a small lodge with a maximum capacity for six anglers. We have three fully equipped double rooms with private bathrooms and comfortable beds.
At FFL we care about offering a unique service on the river. We fish from drift boats and rafts. They are fully equipped and have all the necessary safety equipment required by the PNA. For fishing in lakes, FFL has a rigid inflatable boat with capacity for three people (two guests and a guide). This boat is also equipped with VHF radio, GPS and all the required safety equipment. We have everything necessary for guests to enjoy a comfortable and safe day on the water. All our guides at FFL live in the local area. This is their “local water”. They are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism of the Province of Neuquén, they are very experienced in “going the extra mile” for guests and making sure that guests not only meet, but exceed their expectations. The guides will assist guests in all aspects of fishing and provide first class service on the river. They will always strive to make guests happy.

Make your stay unforgettable.
The Plan ! ! ! We can pick up guests at the airport in the city of Neuquén and take them to our tourist accommodation located in Villa El Chocón. You can take a sightseeing tour of the town visiting the dam and different paleontological sites, as well as the Ernesto Bachman Museum, where you can see the “largest carnivorous dinosaur in the world” (found so far). After dinner, guests will stay at our comfortable lodge. On the second day, after a succulent breakfast, we start our journey to Santo Tomas, our fishing lodge. There we welcome you with a warm reception and then we go to the river to fish every day. Every fishing day, we have lunch by the river. Once the fishing day is over, we return to the lodge, where after a reception, we will enjoy dinner to prepare for the next day. On the last day, we return to stay at Villa El Chocon and then return to the airport in the city of Neuquén.
We have the ideal fishing equipment for our guests to have the perfect combination when fishing in rivers and lakes. Therefore, it is not necessary to bring your own.
Fishing Lodge in Santo Tomas
The average stay of a guest is 4 days and 5 nights. You will unpack once, then settle in and enjoy the lodge and the formal and elegant guest accommodations.
You will have the opportunity to fish two different rivers, in different stretches, and two different lakes during your four-day stay. At the end of each day, you will return to the lodge. Our central location in Santo Tomas gives us easy access to all stretches and corners of the rivers famous for migratory brown trout fishing in northern Patagonia, including the middle stretch of the Limay River, the lower stretch of Lake Exequiel Ramos Mexia and the Piedra del Lago del Aguila. Rainbow trout of more than 6 kg are caught in this lake. Furthermore, regardless of the conditions, we have the flexibility, the equipment and the experience to place you in the rivers where you will fish best during your visit.
