Fly Fishing in Patagonia – The Fario Experience
From a strategic point of view, we are located minutes away from fishing areas recognized worldwide for the quality of their fish. We can visit the Limay River in three sections and three lakes.

Season & Timing
Our season runs from November through May, with each month offering a unique challenge.
-
Spring (Nov–Dec): aggressive post-spawn browns and active rainbows
-
Summer (Jan–Feb): dry fly action, sight fishing, and warm days on the drift
-
Fall (Mar–May): monster migratory browns moving upstream — big game time

Waters We Fish
We fish a wide variety of environments:
-
Limay River (middle and upper): crystal-clear flows, big browns, and technical dry-fly runs
-
Lake Ezequiel Ramos Mexía & Piedra del Águila: home to wild rainbows over 6 kg and incredible shoreline strikes
-
Remote spring creeks and smaller waters: perfect for stalking trout with light gear

Fishing Techniques
-
Drift boat fishing for long, productive days on the Limay
-
Wading in side channels, back eddies, and spring creeks
-
Floating and Sinking lines, streamers, dries and nymphs — adapted daily to conditions

What We Provide
-
All necessary fishing gear if you prefer to travel light
-
Top-quality boats, safety equipment, and local licensed guides
