Fishing Lodge in Santo Tomas
For those who want an unforgettable fishing experience.
Santo Tomás is a small village located just two hours from the city of Neuquén and its international airport.
Nestled among wild Patagonian landscapes and dramatic red canyons, it’s the perfect place to disconnect from the noise and immerse yourself in nature — with satellite internet available for those who need to stay connected.
Our lodge is small, exclusive, and designed for no more than six guests. It features three double rooms with private bathrooms, comfortable beds, high-speed satellite internet, and gourmet meals inspired by Patagonian flavors.
We explore the world-renowned Limay River basin using fully equipped drift boats and rafts, always prioritizing safety and comfort. For lake fishing, we operate a rigid inflatable boat with GPS, VHF radio, and all required safety gear.
Our guides are certified local experts — passionate professionals who know these waters intimately and go the extra mile to ensure your fishing adventure is unforgettable.

Our Fishing Lodge
Our main lodge is built with native stone and locally sourced wood, blending beautifully into the natural Patagonian landscape.

Our chefs prepare gourmet meals using local ingredients, ensuring top-quality dining every day. The lodge features high-speed WiFi, satellite TV, heating, air conditioning, a spacious dining area, a cozy living room, and an outdoor patio to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
We have everything you need to make your stay not just comfortable — but unforgettable.
The Plan
We offer airport pick-up in the city of Neuquén and transfer you to our tourist lodge in Villa El Chocón.
Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a scenic tour of the town, including the dam and several paleontological sites — and a visit to the Ernesto Bachmann Museum, home to the world’s largest known carnivorous dinosaur.
After dinner and a relaxing night at the lodge, you’ll wake up to a hearty breakfast before beginning the journey to Santo Tomás, our fishing lodge. Upon arrival, we’ll welcome you with open arms — and head to the river for your first day of fishing.
Each day includes lunch by the river and a return to the lodge in the afternoon for dinner and rest. On the final day, you’ll head back to Villa El Chocón for your last night before transferring to the airport.
Fishing Gear
We provide all the ideal equipment for fishing both rivers and lakes, so there’s no need to bring your own unless you prefer to.
Fishing Lodge in Santo Tomas
The average stay of a guest is 4 days and 5 nights. You will unpack once, then settle in and enjoy the lodge and the formal and elegant guest accommodations.
You will have the opportunity to fish two different rivers, in different stretches, and two different lakes during your four-day stay. At the end of each day, you will return to the lodge. Our central location in Santo Tomas gives us easy access to all stretches and corners of the rivers famous for migratory brown trout fishing in northern Patagonia, including the middle stretch of the Limay River, the lower stretch of Lake Exequiel Ramos Mexia and the Piedra del Lago del Aguila. Rainbow trout of more than 6 kg are caught in this lake. Furthermore, regardless of the conditions, we have the flexibility, the equipment and the experience to place you in the rivers where you will fish best during your visit.
